Pursuer, a 48' Viking out of Virginia Beach captained by Ray Temple, won the 3rd annual Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament with an impressive 630 points for nine white marlin releases. The Pursuer team released two fish on the first day then jumped into the lead on the second day with seven releases and never looked back. Pursuer took home $78,584. Scott Miller, from Virginia Beach, released five of the nine marlin and took the Top Angler award.
The top money winner for the tournament was the second place team on Haphazard which took home $109,584 for five white marlin releases and 350 points, beating the third place team on Bluewater, also with 350 points, on time.
