“What wouldn’t we do to save the life of a child?”

By supporting the Children’s Performance Workshop, we're doing just that—and that's according to a seven year old girl who experienced the Emmy award-winning, Knock, Knock…Who’s There? and claims it saved her life.

The mission of Children's Performance Workshops, Inc., a non-profit organization, is to improve the quality of life for children by reducing the threat of child abuse. Their mission is accomplished through the marionette production Knock, Knock...Who's There?, an Emmy award-winning child abuse prevention program that teaches children how to recognize, avoid and disclose abuse to a safety-net provider. These are trained representatives from law enforcement agencies, child protective services and school guidance counselors available during the program to ensure professional support.

Regina Marscheider (founder & Director) and Children's Performance Workshops have been recognized by numerous local, national and international organizations, including the FBI, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Foundation for the Improvement of Justice and the Virginia Education Association, for her successes and undying commitment to improve the lives of children everywhere. She has appeared on the Today Show and the Dr. Laura Show and has been featured in magazines including Southern Living, Dr. Laura Perspective, and the U.S. Navy's Jet Observer. Children's Performance Workshops has the proud distinction of being endorsed by Jerry W. Kilgore, Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
