NEW FORMAT AND RULES FOR 2005

Why mess with a winner? Instead of making really big changes in our format and rules we decided to stick with what works. The rules changes that were announced at the 2004 Captain's Meeting have been incorporated into this year's rules, and the format has only been changed to focus on the main event—no more "Tournament Within A Tournament". You can review all of the changes by checking out the Tournament Rules page.

WEBSITE FACELIFT

We've made some changes to our website this year. The graphics were given a facelift and three new links were added at the top of the Home Page: Newsletters, Photo Gallery and the 2004 Winners. We're always open to suggestions, so if there's something you'd like to see on our site let us know by e-mailing our Webmaster.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FISH?

Quite a few people have called us asking what happened to Fortuna's 582.0 lb. blue marlin last year. Well, the fish was cleaned and frozen the same day it was captured and taken to the Beach Smokehouse where it was smoked and vacuumed packed. The fish produced approximately 253 lbs. of meat before smoking, and was delivered to the Judeo Christian Outreach Center, a local shelter that has been in business for 20 years.
