Dr. John Graves of the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences, one of the world's pre-eminent white marlin researchers, talked about the current reseach being done on white marlin stocks and circle hook studies.
Ryan Cool, a professional mate, demonstarted how to rig ballyhoo with circle hooks.
The bottom line—less harm to the fish, more challenge to the fisherman. As Dierdre Bell , one of the organizers of the seminar, put it "We're not talking about zero tolerance. We're simply talking about trying something new, and in so doing demonstrate once again our willingness as a community to contribute to the benefit of us all."
